May 25 – Day 1015

Joyce had a good day. Joyce did all of her exercises. She a good morning and afternoon. She was awake all until bedtime. Had some promising caregivers interview last night so we will see how that goes. Her night was good had a little coughing around midnight but Joyce went right back to sleep without any issues.

Continue to pray and send positive thoughts so that things continue to progress and that God keeps putting his loving hands on Joyce to heal her.

May 24 – Day 1014

Joyce had a good day. Joyce did her exercises but slept in the afternoon. The caregiver did not want to wake her and I told her if it is time for her to go to the bathroom you need to wake her up. When I got home she was ready to go to the bathroom. Have some ladies coming tomorrow for interviews hopefully they will turn out good. Joyce slept well through the night and did not have any issues.

May 23 – Day 1013

Joyce had a good day. Joyce slept the morning so exercises were restricted to range of motion. Went to her speech appointment they have 2 devices Joyce can use for her communication they are going to do a 30 day trial on both and see which one she responds to better. Her night was calm and she slept with no issues at all to report. Still searching for caregivers.

May 22 – Day 1012

Joyce had a good day. Had to have a fill in caregiver. She did okay a couple of bumps we got threw the day. Joyce did her exercises and she had a good day. Had to show the new lady how to help Joyce with her clothes when taking her to the bathroom but I think she is good now. Will have my regular morning lady. Now the search begins again to find new caregivers.

May 21 – Day 1011

Joyce had a good weekend. Joyce did all her exercises and the new girl trained she did very well with Joyce but that is where it ended. She fell asleep a couple of times on my day person ate her food and help herself to about three drinks. That all I am going to say about her but she will not be coming back. Then my day caregivers husband called Sunday and said she was dehydrated wouldn’t be into the work. So I figured my afternoon could come in. When I got a hold of her she said she is moving back to WV.

May 18 – Day 1008

Joyce had a good day. Joyce did all he exercises and the new caregiver will train tomorrow so we will see how she does.Joyce sat up and watched TV through the night. We were all set at bedtime and was finishing up brushing her teeth when all hell broke loose. Joyce threw up everywhere but i told her not to worry that I will clean it all up and her and everything is fine and I will re brush your teeth again. Joyce gave me that smile that she knew I would take care of her and everything would be alright.

May 17 – Day 1007

Joyce had a good day. Joyce did all he exercises and I called about her new lift and they are going to see if there is another harness or even a device that will help us. Joyce sat up and watched TV in the late evening with no issues. Joyce slept well throughout the night even though she was smiling when I did her feeding at 11 but then went right to sleep afterwards.

May 16 – Day 1006

Joyce had a good day. Joyce did all he exercises but the new standup lift is not working. I will have to call the company and see what we can use. Joyce took naps throughout the day. In the evening she had some coughing episodes and right when we were getting ready for bed she threw up but I was ready and got everything with the suction machine and her wash cloth nothing on her or her clothes we were both happy. She slept fine and had no other issues through the night.

May 15 – Day 1005

Joyce had a good day. Joyce did all he exercises and the new caregiver trained today and she did well. Joyce was alert during the morning but the afternoon she was extremely tired. The afternoon caregiver said she was hard to get up for the bathroom. She slept well through the night and was asleep at 11 for her feeding.

May 14 – Day 1004

Joyce had a good weekend. Joyce still works on her exercises daily. We went to church on Sunday and Joyce was alert the whole time but that little time out really affected her allergies. Her eyes were bloodshot the rest of the day and she was constantly coughing up all day long. Justina and Nick went with us to church and Justina gave Joyce her Mothers Day present at the house. With all that was going on Joyce slept well and did not have any issues the rest of the night.
