October 2 – Day 1134
Joyce had a great day. The daytime caregiver was sick so I had to call my afternoon caregiver and she got there about 1 PM. Joyce had a rough night coughing almost all night so she slept all day so the caregiver did ROM exercises with Joyce. She wasn’t coughing up anything just coughing which woke her up out of her sleep.

Continue to pray and send positive thoughts so that things continue to progress and that God keeps putting his loving hands on Joyce to heal her.

September 28 – Day 1130
Joyce had a great day. Joyce did all of her exercises and her medicine is working great Joyce was good all day with minimal coughing. Her night was also good no coughing at all just a couple times but it was just coughing no mucus secretions. Finally the medication is helping Joyce and it is working rather quickly.

September 28 – Day 1129
Joyce had a great day. Joyce did all of her exercises and is responding well to the new antibiotic. Picked up Joyce’s earrings they put the screw type backs on them so we wont have to worry about the backs falling off. her night was good she slept well and had no issues to report at this time.

September 26 – Day 1128
Joyce had a great day. Joyce did all her exercises and she was pretty exhausted after doing them. She took a long nap and was awake when I got home. The new caregivers are working out great finally got a great team for Joyce. Her night was good she slept well through the night and was wide awake at 6 AM for her water. Will start her new antibiotic tomorrow for her bronchitis.

September 25 – Day 1127
Joyce had a great day. Most of the exercise were done today. Joyce had 2 doctor appointments one she had her feeding tube replace which is done every 3 months. Then we went to see her primary care doctor so he can begin the new paperwork for her new speech device and I had him listen to her chest and he prescribed a new antibiotic seems she has acute bronchitis. She is sleeping well through the night with no issues to report.

September 20 – Day 1122
Joyce had a great day. Had a little issue with the day caregiver. Had the day and afternoon caregivers switch shifts for appointments. The day before when the morning caregiver lost footing and they ended up on the floor, Joyce told her she was angry with her. I told the caregiver to give it time Joyce will come around don’t take personal. These caregivers that we have now are very compassionate and caring. I told her not to let it bother her by next week Joyce will forget all about it. Joyce slept all through the night but still has a thick mucous and the chest x-ray did not show anything

September 19 – Day 1121
Joyce had a great day. Joyce had to go to her appointments today for the chiropractor and to get a chest x-ray because her coughing is continuing. My day caregiver lost her footing and her and Joyce slid to the floor neither one of them was injured. She called me about to be in tears when Justina arrived and said that happened to her one time that made her feel so much better. She did a lot of her exercises but still very sleepy. She had a coughing fit at bedtime but after that she slept all night

September 18 – Day 1120
Joyce had a great day. Joyce continues to do her exercises the new caregivers are great with Joyce. The day caregiver had to stay all day my afternoon caregiver had a family emergency but it was good. Joyce seemed a little down today but we all have our days so will still monitor progress. Joyce was asleep at feeding at 11 and slept all night except for he waking up at 4 for a little coughing.

September 17 – Day 1119
Joyce had a great weekend. Our weekend caregiver had a family emergency so it was me and Joyce this weekend. Joyce was extremely tired she slept all day on Saturday and on Sunday we went out had some errands to do and took the dog for her nail grinding Joyce was glad to get out of the house and get some fresh air. Joyce has been sleeping well except one time during the night she is waking up with a cough. We will be taking her to get a chest x-ray tomorrow.

September 14 – Day 1118
Joyce had a great day. Joyce and both her caregivers are really starting to develop good relationships I am glad we finally a great staff for Joyce. They completed all her exercises even though she wanted to take many naps. The caregivers said they had very productive days with Joyce. Joyce slept well without any issues to report just her usual coughing around 2AM.
