November 15 – Day 827

Joyce had a great day. She was very alert all day and di her exercises. She was sitting up watching TV when I came home and she was up all day. Not very much coughing and her night was very calm and she slept restful through the night with no issues. Looks like we will begin with the CAP program on the 28th, calling agencies to see who we will use for the extra hours Medicaid is providing.

November 14 – Day 826

Joyce had a great day. We had a early start to take Joyce to her appointment in Greenville for her wheel chair fitting and the appointment was great. Joyce’s new chair is going to be great for her. It has all bell and whistles that will assist her. We even got to get it in her favorite coly fuchsia. The ride there and back was fine Joyce took a little nap on the way back but other than that was awake most of the day. Her night was great and she had no issues and she slept well all through the night.

November 9 – Day 821

Joyce had a great day. Joyce did her exercises and got a little rest. We went to the doctor to change her feeding tube which he will do every 4 months. It was done without the hitch but they couldn’t deflate the bubble again so he to pull that out of Joyce’s stomach and there was a little bleeding but nothing serious and Joyce didn’t bat a eyelash she is so good with these procedures. She slept well with no issues all through the night.

November 8 – Day 820

Joyce had a great day. She continues to do all of her exercises. She is not having any issues. She was awake most of the day she took a small nap around 7. She slept well all through the night with no issues to report. Had to let her afternoon caregiver to sit Joyce up in her chair if she is awake during the day to help with her feet and her posture.

November 7 – Day 819

Joyce had a great day. She did all her exercises and sat up quit a while for Justina watching one of her favorite shows say yes to the dress. Justina stayed a little longer since I had my dentist appointment and a mouth full of novacaine oh fun. Joyce slept very well through the night with no issues with only on coughing episode around midnight.

November 6 – Day 818

Joyce had a great weekend. Joyce did all her exercises and she had a good appointment with her eye doctor. They got thought half of the exam and Joyce became tired so he said we can come back to finish the rest but the first half she did very well. The rest of the weekend Joyce rested well but Sunday she had a lot of coughing and saliva and that lasted until about bedtime. But she slept well though the night and had no issues after that.

November 3 – Day 815

Joyce had a great day. Joyce did her exercises today and di very well. She had therapy today but it was mostly to give instruction to the caregiver until the doctor issues new orders for therapy. The CAP came today and it looks like we will get about 45 hours a week from Medicaid so that will help but I have to figure out how i will use them and my present staff to make things work out. Joyce had a good night and no issues sleeping.

November 2 – Day 814

Joyce had a great day. Joyce was a little sleepy today. Her hairdresser came today to cut and color her hair Joyce looks great. She did her exercises in the morning and in the afternoon. Her night was great no issues at to report and she slept well and peaceful all through the night. Her CAP program rep social worker will be coming by tomorrow to do the final assessment.

November 1 – Day 813

Joyce had a great day. Joyce did her exercise but after that she was very sleepy so she slept most of the day and night before going to bed. her night was peaceful with no issues to report at this time. Had to remind our afternoon caregiver that even though Joyce is sleeping she needs to be awaken for her bathroom visits.

October 31 – Day 812

Joyce had a great day. Joyce did all of her exercises and still doing well. Joyce couldn’t keep her food down during lunch but other than that she had a good day. We had our standard 3 families and Joyce handed out there candy and she smiling ear to ear seeing the children in their costumes she really enjoyed it. her night was good no episodes at all I heard her cough just a coupled of times but nothing that woke her up out of her sleep.
