May 25 – Day 683

Joyce had a good day. But when it rain it pours. Joyce’s physical, speech and her RN have left there jobs so we will be on the search for a new team when it took so long to get this team and Joyce was responding very good with them. Joyce was up most of the day and she did great with her stander and she did her pedal device while in the stander which is a great progression. She slept well as she usually does with no issues.

Continue to pray and send positive thoughts so that things continue to progress and that God keeps putting his loving hands on Joyce to heal her

May 26 – Day 684

Joyce had a great day. Just was awake and her spirits were high she had great day doing all her exercises she sat up in her chair all day. Our evening was great Joyce was all smiles laughing at her shows TV. But then she went to bed was up at 11 for her feeding. After that she had a long night was coughing very hard she threw up twice during the night where I had to change her. This went on at least until 130 and she finally went to sleep. But I told no big deal we have clothes linen and well just clean you up and she smiled.

May 25 – Day 683

Joyce had a good day. But when it rain it pours. May 24 – Day 682.

Joyce had a good day. Joyce was very sleepy today slept most of the day. Occupational therapy came and she did range of motion because Joyce slept through it. Her night was great no issues to report at this time. Will call and find out status if we have a new speech therapist yet.

May 23 – Day 681

Joyce had a very good day. She was up all day sitting in her chair. her physical therapist said she did great today. Her spirits were very high and her caregiver did all her exercises with her. Her night was good she was up for her feeding at 11 but went right to sleep and had no issues.

May 22 – Day 680

Joyce had a good weekend. She continues to do her exercises. Her speech therapist who I hate to see go had her last session with Joyce on Friday she will be missed greatly she has brought Joyce so far with her therapy. Joyce had her feeding tube replaced at the hospital and she is doing great with the new one. She had no issues sleeping at night. She has developed some fever blisters but with the medication she is recovering from those.

May 19 – Day 677

Joyce had a good day. Her occupational therapist supervisor came today to do the evaluation. Her nurse came today to replace her feeding tube well she couldn’t deflate the bubble which holds it in the stomach that is deflated so it can be removed. So when I got home from work me and Justina went to the emergency room to get it replaced. Fortunately we were in and out in an hour miracles never cease do they? Joyce was tired and slept all night without any issues.

May 18 – Day 676

Joyce had a good day. Physical therapist came today and Joyce did well with her exercises. Speech also came and Joyce worked with her Dynavox. She has been coughing up a lot today. The nurse will come tomorrow to replace her feeding tube hopefully no issues. She slept well and had no issues. Getting better at pushing her self up out of her chair and undressing herself. It is not perfect but she moving forward and I tell her every time she does it how goo she is doing.

May 17 – Day 675

Joyce had a good day. After her morning caregiver Justina was with her and Joyce slept till about 1 pm. Justina did her exercises with her as she was doing her therapy of laying flat in the bed. She had a good night and had no issues all through the night.

May 16 Day 674

Joyce had a good day today. Physical therapy came today and she did very well. He did a good portion of exercises with Joyce lying down. Her care giver said she was up slept most of the morning but then was up when I came home. We did her sink stands it is a slow process but Joyce is trying every day. Her night was fine no issues and she kept her food down.
