March 12 – Day 3059

Joyce had a good day. Joyce was stable the day through. The doctor removed her CPAP mask and just but her some oxygen. Her vitals have been good no fever and blood pressure, heart rate very stable. We will see how she does through the night.

March 10 – Day 3057

Joyce had a rough day. Joyce had a bad night . She was transfered back to the ICU becase her respitory rate was very high. She has another uniary infection so they are trying to battle that. She is running a fever so they are using a cooling blanket to combat that. She was stable all day but we will see how she is tommorow.

March 9 – Day 3056

Joyce had a rough day. But Joyce had a great night and they tried another breathing teatment and she had a reaction. So I talked to the doctor to findout if she needed them since her chest was clear. He said he would do it only as needed. Then jopyce had breathing issues so she is on a CPAP maching at 45%. They had removed her catheter. She has a urinary infection but there got her on medication. I asked the doctor if she still needed catheter so now she is on periwick system so we can eliminate the possibility of infection with the catheter.

March 8 – Day 3055

Joyce had a good day. Joyce had a great night with no problems and when they did her breathing treaqtment she had a reaction so they had to put her back on oxygen for couple hours. Doctor says she has congenital heart failure but can be controlled with medication.

March 7 – Day 3054

Joyce had a good day. Joyce had a great night with no problems and they moved her from ICU to the step down unit which is so good. She breathing great on her own no oxygen. She is looking so much better.

March 6 – Day 3053

Joyce had a good day. Joyce had a great night with no problems and her day was good too. They took out her arterial IV which is good. The doctor wants to move her up to a room in the step down unit but he said we are in line.

March 5 – Day 3052

Joyce had a good day. They removed her breathing tube today and they waited a couple of hours before they removed the ventalitor in her room. She is breathing on her own she is doing fantastic the doctor said. Also they had to replace her catheter because it got clogged and there was no output but after her replacement she was fine. So now she is on 24 observation and hopefully movement to a regular room is coming this week.

March 4 – Day 3051

Joyce had a good day. They have reduced mostly all of her sdation medication except fro one to keep anxiety down. They did breathing support today is she is fully breathing on her own if she has problems the machine helps. Doctor had many emergencies today so they will pull her breathing tube tommorow if she has a good night. Joyce was awake almost all day.

February 29 – Day 3047

Joyce had a relaxing day. They have been keeping her sedated but she is doing well they have reduced her oxygen to 50%. No fever and no issues today. The doctor said she has done fantastic to day.

February 28 – Day 3046

Joyce had a stressful day. They had to reinsert her breathing tube last night. There is still fluid on her lungs which is making it hard for her to breathe. She is on so many medications antibiotics, pain, infection to name a few. She is fighting like hell. I talk to her because I know she can hear me. Holding her hand and letting her know I am by her side and not leaving.
